“European with a twist, clean lines and minimalism,” is how Miika describes his design style. It’s a fitting aesthetic for the Finland native, and one he has honed since age 10, when he first dreamt of being an interior designer. He has since spent the past several decades practicing both custom furniture and interior design, working in residential and commercial realms.

“I love creating functional, beautiful spaces that are far from typical and make a difference in my clients’ lives,” he says. Fluent in English, Spanish and Finnish, his diverse client base includes projects across the U.S. — and the world. “My experience has given me an ability to easily blend traditional and contemporary styles — a mix-and-match — with elegance,” he says.

At Cantoni, he appreciates the “dynamic showroom,” he says. “Our product and workspace give me new ideas constantly, and it’s exciting to work with such a diverse range of clients and create solutions for their design challenges and needs. I’m inspired every day.”
