Povl Eskildsen began gathering furniture design and production knowledge over two decades ago, working in his family's furniture factory. Having developed a significant "hands-on" early interest and experience, Polv studied and graduated with a Masters Degree in Furniture Design from the Denmark School of Architecture in Arhaus in 1986. Since then, Povl has worked successfully as a freelance furniture designer all over the world. Many of his designs are considered icons in the furniture industry and are still selling after 30 years.

Materials
- Hardwood Teak Frame
- Natural Teak does not require any special maintenance routine or any additional protection apart from occasional cleaning. Left to age naturally outside, teak will gradually change to a soft, silver-grey as the pigments in the surface layer of the wood begin to fade away.
- Outdoor Rope
- Gloster outdoor rope is made from either a vinyl coated, high strength polyester yarn, or 100% acrylic fibres. Fibers are braided into a round rope profile of approximately 4mm diameter and are fully weather resistant.
